Dandruff is actually not all in the shape of snowflakes, but also clumpy structure that sticks together with hair oil. An ugly attachment to the scalp, between the hair, inseparable from you, becoming your beautiful troubles, social obstacles, and making you annoyed and angry.

Dandruff can be roughly divided into three types. Firstly, it is a normal physiological phenomenon. Due to the metabolism of the scalp, a small amount of dandruff like fine salt particles fall off the scalp. This is not a concern. Secondly, excessive or too little sebum secretion; excessive secretion causes scalp buildup to thicken the local stratum corneum, and dandruff spots will accumulate (the dandruff produced by metabolism does not fall off normally and form clumps). Too little secretion due to insufficient moisture causes dry scalp skin, and stratum corneum fall off like fine salt particles.

Thirdly, skin diseases-related dandruff, due to a fungus species called Malassezia (Pityrosporum) that infects the scalp, forming white or gray scale-like dandruff. These scales are large in size. Some resemble fine salt, and some are round spotted clumps attached to the scalp, often accompanied by itchy scalp, which seriously affects one’s life and work.

Mental stress, irregular lifestyle, poor sleep, eating excessive meat and unbalanced nutrition can easily stimulate excessive or insufficient oil secretion, coupled with unhygienic scalp. These are the root causes of the second type of dandruff.

Malassezia (Pityrosporum) is a kind of lipophilic fungus, a parasite that loves high temperature, high humidity, high oil, high sweat, and unclean skin. Due to the scalp being the spot with the highest oil secretion, plus dense hair, and long-term exposure, causes the scalp to get dirt and scalp build up easily, increasing the chance of reproduction of Malassezia (Pityrosporum).

The production of dandruff is not scary, not knowing the cause is ignorance. Dandruff is not a snowflake bestowed from God, but a problem that accompanies the beautiful.
